Hasbro's New Ahsoka Figures Send in the Clones

The live-action Clone Trooper has had a bit of a renaissance lately, between The Mandalorian, Ahsoka, and even Obi-Wan Kenobi and Andor last year, all taking us back to the Clone War and its aftermath to give us actual, physical live-action phase one and phase two Troopers on screen long after their digital debuts. Which I’m sure Hasbro, lover of all things Trooper action figure, is very happy for.

Especially so as Ahsoka in particular—which took us to multiple conflicts along its titular character’s life on the front lines of the Clone Wars in episode five, “Shadow Warrior,” giving us Captain Rex and a whole host of multiple eras and liveries of Clone Trooper in live-action—has now given Hasbro the chance to re-release its recently updated Trooper figures in shiny new packaging as part of “Gift the Galaxy,” its holiday promotional reveal of new Star Wars toys. Who says you need figures of new characters, or new figures of old characters, when you can just add more Troopers to your shelf?

Clone mania is striking across both the 6" Black Series line as well as the 3.75" Vintage Collection, with two new multipack re-releases set to drop next year. In the Black Series, fans will be able to snag a Trooper two-pack which includes a Phase 1 Clone Lieutenant, clad in blue livery, and a Phase 2 332nd Battalion trooper with the Ahsoka-themed helmet livery from Clone Wars’ siege of Mandalore arc. Not to be left out, the Vintage Collection will offer a four pack of phase 2 Troopers—2 plain soldiers, one lieutenant. and another 332nd Battalion Trooper to boot.

Both multipacks will be available to pre-order starting at 1 p.m. ET tomorrow, November 29, with the Black Series two-pack exclusive to Target, and the Vintage Collection pack available from Hasbro Pulse and eventually ShopDisney. Click through to see more pictures!

Loki: Chris Hemsworth Records New Lines for Throg Role

Chris Hemsworth is Thor Image: Marvel Believe it or not, Chris Hemsworth appears in the latest episode of Loki. Well, his voice does. The Kate Herron directed-episode titled Journey into Mystery , takes place in a location at the end of time created by the Time Variance Authority called The Void. It’s in this void that viewers see Throg (a version of Thor in Frog form from Earth-97161) trapped inside a bottle deep underground as he tries to break out to reach his Mjolnir. When Herron was on the ForAllNerds podcast last Friday, she revealed that Chris Hemsworth is the voice of Throg. You don’t hear the Frog say any dialogue, but the scream it lets out is by Hemsworth . Herron had him record new lines and sounds strictly for the show, and she kept it a well-hidden secret. “Throg, getting him in [was fun],” Herron said on the podcast. “We recorded Chris Hemsworth for that, by the way. Google launches a beta of Neighbourly, an app for crowdsourcing local questions

Google is taking another shot at social apps with the beta release of Neighbourly , a new, hyperlocal-focused app designed to answer your questions, via The Next Web . The company envisions Neighbourly as a sort of crowdsourced city guide. The residents who know your city best can use the app to share tips, tricks, shortcuts, and recommendations with less in-the-know residents. Users will be able to ask questions, submit answers, and follow other people’s questions if they’re interested to see the results through a simple stack of cards.
