Future Tesla Battery Technology and Pricing

Lithium Ion batteries can get three times cheaper than current average prices of about $180 per kwh to about $50-60 per kwh. This will be from improving processes going to the Tesla-Maxwell dry cell technology and with improved energy density and increasing the volume and other manufacturing efficiencies. The global automotive lithium-ion battery market could reach about $95-100 billion per year by 2030. A Cleantechnica analysis of the Tesla Cybertruck seems to show an implied 45% improvement in battery prices to about $100-110 per kwh by 2021. $94 per kwh is the pricing expected in 2024 by Bloomberg New Energy

Flouride Ion Batteries Could Be Ten Times Better and Cheaper Than Lithium Ion

Researchers at Caltech, the Jet Propulsion Laboratory, the Honda Research Institute, and Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory and others are working together to develop rechargeable batteries based on fluoride, the anion (negatively charged form) of elemental fluorine. Fluoride batteries can have a higher energy density, which means that they may last longer—up to eight times longer than batteries in use today. But fluoride is corrosive and reactive. Iron fluorides already have more than double the lithium capacity of traditional cobalt- or nickel-based cathodes. Iron is 300 times less expensive than cobalt and 150 times less costly than nickel. Researcher team made

Better Solid State Lithium Ion Batteries

Deakin materials scientists have proven that liquid solvent-free solid state batteries can easily be made which will enable safer batteries with higher energy density. Joule – Poly(Ionic Liquid)s-in-Salt Electrolytes with Co-coordination-Assisted Lithium-Ion Transport for Safe Batteries Highlights • A solvent-free poly(ionic liquid)s-in-salt electrolyte is demonstrated • A co-coordination-assisted Li + transport is proposed for enhanced transference number • Lithium-metal batteries with high cathode loadings are demonstrated at 80°C Summary Polymer electrolytes are seen as key components for safe, high-energy-density all-solid-state lithium (Li) batteries, given their appropriate mechanical properties along with the absence of volatile and flammable solvents. Ice Cold Saline Has Been Used to Rapidly Cool and Suspend Bodies During Surgery

Doctors at the University of Maryland School of Medicine have placed humans in suspended animation and this could enable them to have hours instead of minutes to operate on critical patients. They rapidly cooled a patient’s body down to ten to 15 degrees Celsius (50 to 59 Fahrenheit) by replacing their blood with an ice-cold salt solution. Without cooling the patient would suffer irreversible damage in about five minutes. Emergency Preservation and Resuscitation for Cardiac Arrest from Trauma (EPR-CAT) Principal Investigator: Samuel Tisherman, MD, professor of Surgery and director of the Division of Critical Care and Trauma Education at the

Rossi Has New Self-Sustaining Cold Fusion Claim

Andrea Rossi has made cold fusion (aka low energy nuclear reaction) claims for nearly ten years. Rossi’s claims have failed serious attempts at validation. The previous results related to excess energy seem to been explained by completely fraudulent demonstrations. Electricity and heat were made from hidden connections to conventional sources. On January 31, 2019, Rossi’s released a new product called E-Cat SK via live video stream. The product is reported as currently available to be leased by factories as a source of heat. Tom Casten and Australian physicist and aerospace engineer Ian Bryce said that the inputs, outputs, and measurement
